Art L111-1 du CPI : The author of a work of the mind enjoys over this work, by the mere fact of its creation, an exclusive intangible property right that is enforceable against all.
This right includes intellectual and moral attributes as well as patrimonial attributes, which are determined by books I and III of this code.
The existence or conclusion of a work or service contract by the author of an intellectual work does not entail any derogation from the enjoyment of the right recognized by the first paragraph.

Art L121-1 du CPI : L'auteur jouit du droit au respect de son nom, de sa qualité et de son œuvre.
Ce droit est attaché à sa personne.
Il est perpétuel, inaliénable et imprescriptible.
Il est transmissible à cause de mort aux héritiers de l'auteur.
L'exercice peut être conféré à un tiers en vertu de dispositions testamentaires.

Art L122-1 du CPI : The right of exploitation belonging to the author includes the right of representation and the right of reproduction.

Art L122-4 du CPI : Any representation or reproduction in whole or in part made without the consent of the author or his successors in title or assigns is unlawful.
The same applies to translation, adaptation or transformation, arrangement or reproduction by any art or process whatsoever.
